According to a report from the Russian Ministry of Interior, there are 80,000 organized crime gangs operating in Russia alone, involved in activities such as drug trafficking, prostitution, currency counterfeiting, money laundering, and other illegal ventures. These criminal organizations control 40,000 financial institutions.
Through this study, various concepts related to the money laundering process and its associated risks will be reviewed. These activities negatively impact society and affect the stability of different countries' financial systems. The study will shed light on the diverse methods and efforts employed to combat and fight against money laundering.
