Due to the ongoing developments in today's world, both planning and management have become crucial for the success of institutions in various fields. Competition among these institutions imposes new challenges, necessitating a focus on planning and management processes. Leaders have been compelled to introduce new managerial methods to enhance their institutions. The concept of strategic planning is one of the most important terms related to improving the performance of institutions in general. Therefore, educational institutions have sought to update their policies and strategies gradually to improve their performance. These institutions have attempted to implement a set of policies and frameworks aimed at advancing the educational process compared to similar competing institutions.
Within this framework, some have begun to view strategic planning as a necessary policy to meet the needs of this globalized era in an attempt to achieve a better future. This brings forth challenges related to how educational strategies will be developed, managed, and applied, considering the external environment surrounding these institutions with its opportunities and challenges, and determining the fundamental directions of the institution in the short and long term. Often, the concept of strategic planning is associated with large institutions that possess vast resources and human and material capabilities enabling them to implement complex administrative processes. Hence, educational institutions, often constrained by limited resources, face many obstacles hindering their performance improvement through the adoption of strategic planning. Therefore, this study focuses on the impact of strategic planning on improving the performance of educational institutions.
Research Problem:
In a reality where risks and obstacles facing educational institutions are increasing due to the speed of change and development, and the provision of alternative educational platforms and means, educational organizations have no choice but to develop and introduce new methods to cope with this reality. This can be achieved through the use of conscious and purposeful methods, with strategic planning being one of the most important administrative methods in the current era.
